nowhere to put luggage (no shelves, no closets), but this seems to be common in Japan

The hotel had a lovely traditional Japanese decoration, with beautiful cherry blossom themed artwork in the lobby. The general areas were clean and well-maintained, making it easy for senior people like myself to move around and relax. The hotel's location right next to the train station was extremely convenient, as it meant I didn't have to walk long distances with my luggage.

It would have been even better if the children working there could have offered some assistance with carrying luggage or providing extra pillows for comfort.

Hotel located behind Kagoshima JR Station,15 minutes to Bus terminal.Closed main-door of Hotel on midnight every night...Don't think to night life......I think this hotel comfort for small and silent city as Kagoshima.....

Just a very short walk from Kagoshima train station. Rooms are small as are most in Japan, but clean and with everything you need. When we travel rooms are just for sleeping and showering. Perfectly good hotel.

I had a great stay at Apa Hotel Kagoshima Chuo-Ekimae. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station. The room was small but comfortable, and the staff were helpful and courteous. I especially appreciated their willingness to accommodate my room change request. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located very close to the train station and therefore all transport facilities needed to get around in and out of Kagoshima, are very close (train, bus, streetcar). The hotel rooms are very small (which is not unusual in japanese hotels), but absolutely sufficient if you just need it for sleeping and resting.

Standard business hotel with good value for money. The whole building is pretty modern and nice.

Functional place to stay with ideal location very close to southernmost Shinkansen terminal and good food. Got decent size and brand-new room with absolutely fabulous views onto the balcony of the apartments next door and central heating, flat-screen TV and a refrigerator...

Amazing location, a few minutes walk from the station! The staff were very helpful - all you have to do is ask. Rooms were comfortable, free tea etc.
